Our trip to England

On Wednesday, the 10th of May, the third classes flew to Eastbourne, which is in East Sussex in England. On Thursday we went to Beachy Head by bus and after that we walked down to the coast. The next day we went to Brighton by train.

There we visited the Sealife Centre and the Pier. We enjoyed riding the rollercoasters very much. On Saturday we took a trip to London. At first we saw Buckingham Palace and afterwards we went through St. James’ Park. After a 10 minute walk we arrived at Trafalgar Square. At noon we stayed at Covent Garden.

After lunch we walked along Whitehall and passed Downing Street 10 and Big Ben. The highlight was the ride on the London Eye. On Sunday we went to London again and first we saw St. Pauls Cathedral. It was really huge. After that we crossed the Millenium Bridge. We passed the Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and took photos of The Shard (which is the highest building of the EU).

After lunchtime we had a look at the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The highlight was Madame Tussaud’s at the end of the day. On Monday we were in Hastings to visit the Smuggler’s Adventure (caves in the cliffs). On the last day our teachers gave us a quiz about Eastbourne and after that we were allowed to go shopping in the city. The trip was very interesting and a good experience for everyone of us.
